Grace Guys
The Grace Guys men's group, led by Pastor John, gathers in Alpha/Omega for Bible study and reflection each Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m. All men are invited to attend.
Grace Guys will begin meeting again on Wed., Sept. 8, at 6:30 a.m. in Omega.
Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study
The Sunday Morning Bible Study begins September 19, at 10:00 a.m. (note the new time) in the Alpha/Omega room. The popularity of the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Science Museum has focused attention on the early first-century church. In a four-week session we will look at the Dead Sea Scrolls, other writings not found in the Bible such as the recently discovered Gospel of Judas, and biblical texts from the Book of Acts and the letters of Saint Paul.
Following this topic, the Sunday morning class will continue with a study of the book of Hebrews and its relevance to Jewish-Christian relations today.
All are invited to join us for conversations aboutt faith and life!
Adult Education
This fall (2010) Pastor Matthews will be offering an outstanding study on "Jesus." This five-session study begins Thursday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (identical sessions) and meets through Thursday, October 14. The text from this selection, "Jesus of History and the Christ of Faith," by J.D. Powell, is a treasure of information, along with beautiful photographs of the Holy Land and sacred art.
Sign-up will begin mid-August in the church office, at which time you can order a copy of the book.
Women of Grace
(Women's Circles)
All women at Grace are welcome to visit or join any of the circles at Grace. No previous Bible knowledge is needed. Come grow in faith with your sisters in Christ!
The women's circles have finished their programs for this year and will meet again in September 2010.
- Faith Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Omega room at church. Call Carol Geiger, 952-432-0541, with questions.
- Mary Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month, 1-2:30 p.m. at church. All women and friends of Grace are welcome! Contact DeNae Shewmake, 952-892-5761.
